A Fear Of Red Hair

When Kacie was a very little girl, probably around 4 or 5, I started to observe an interesting pattern in her behavior. When she saw a person with red hair, she quickly avoided them. We could be at a shopping center or at someone's house and when she saw a redhead she took off. I had assumed that she simply found red hair to be unattractive or unusual but when her strange conduct continued on for several months it was time to find the reason. When I asked her why she avoided people with red hair, she gave me a real simple answer- "dad, people with red hair have bad tempers."
